About Us

Belinda has been very active in the community for many years, starting in her twenties as a volunteer at the House of Ruth, a safe house for women in domestic violence situations in Baltimore, Maryland. Later she became a volunteer through the YWCA, working at the Safe House for Women in Domestic Violence in Richmond, Virginia.
Possessing a Criminal Justice degree, she chose an alternate path, working as a counselor for eight years at Charter Westbrook Hospital in Richmond, a private psychiatric hospital. Helping others has invariably been a focus for her. Volunteering at the Daily Planet Homeless Shelter in Richmond for years was very fulfilling in that it allowed her to connect with and help those in need. She is also a member of Toastmasters International. She speaks at seminars. In 2023, she published Standing on the Edge of Your Tomorrow (An Introspective into Your Soul), a book of short stories and poetry (on Amazon).
